MMP-1-IN-1 (Compound 6) is a highly potent MMP-1 inhibitor with an IC50 of 0.034 μM.
The high inhibitory activity of MMP-1-IN-1 (Compound 6) against MMP-1 might be due to a halogen bond interaction between the Cl substituent of MMP-1-IN-1 and residue ARG214 of MMP-1[1].
