Histone H3 (5-23) is a peptide fragment of histone H3 that corresponds to amino acid residues 6-24 of the human histone H3.3 sequence. Histone H3 contains a lysine residue at position 14 that is subject to acetylation and has a role in transcriptional activation and regulation of gene expression.
