Glutathione oxidized (L-Glutathione oxidized), an oxidized form of the antioxidant L-glutathione, acts as a signaling molecule that trigger the activation of antioxidant genes [1]. Glutathione oxidized can be reduced to GSH under the action of glutathione reductase in the presence of NADPH for cellular antioxidant defense [2]. Glutathione oxidized is a biomarker of oxidative stress status and can be used to evaluate oxidative stress may be involved in various diseases[3].
