BRD6929 is a histone deacetylase 1 (HDAC1) and HDAC2 inhibitor (IC50s = 0.04 and 0.1 ?M, respectively, for the recombinant human enzymes).1 It is selective for HDAC1 and HDAC2 over HDAC3 and HDAC8 (IC50s = >20 ?M for both). BRD6929 inhibits proliferation of HCT116 human colon cancer cells but not non-cancerous human mammary epithelial cells (HMECs; IC50s = 4 and >50 ?M, respectively).
