Protosappanin B is a phenolic compound extracted from Lignum Sappan. Anti-cancer activity[1]. Protosappanin B induces apoptosis and causes G1 cell cycle arrest in human bladder cancer cells[2].
Protosappanin B (12.5, 25, 50, 100, 200 µg/mL, 48 hours) dose-dependently inhibits tumor cells, with IC50s of 21.32 µg/mL, 26.73 µg/mL, and 76.53 µg/mL for SW-480, HCT-116, and BTT cells, respectively[1].
