Solubility
Stock solutions can be prepared by dissolving gently into PBS for several minutes. Recommended stock concentrations are 1mg/ml in PBS.
Stability
Lyophilized Lysozyme although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution Lysozyme Human Recombinant should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C.For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Biological Activity
>100,000 Units/mg protein. 1 unit will produce a change of A450 0.001 per minute at pH-6.24 and 25°C, using a suspension of micrococcus lysodeikticus as substrate in a 2.6ml reaction volume.
