GSK579289A is an inhibitor of polo-like kinase 1 (Plk1; IC50 = 2 nM).1 It is selective for Plk1 over Plk3 (IC50 = 630 nM). GSK579289A inhibits proliferation of HCT116 cells (IC50 = 11 nM).
