Ac-Lys-OH is an important acetylated amino acid derivative, which is often used to increase the ligation/cyclization ratio in the reaction for generating peptide nitriles [1]. Ac-Lys-OH can be used in the amine titration experiment to confirm the presence of the active formyl group on the immobilized pyridoxal phosphate (PLP)[2]. Ac-Lys-OH has been widely used as a model molecule to study the steady-state kinetic parameters of the carboxylate oxygen exchange reaction[3].
