Deriglidole is a peripheral adrenoceptor antagonist with a high affinity for α2-adrenoceptors.
Deriglidole is a selective α2-receptor inhibitor. Deriglidole inhibits [3H]Clonidine and [3H]Idazoxan but not [3H]Prazosin binding to rat cortical and human platelet α2-adrenoceptors and is more selective than Idazoxan for peripheral receptors[1].
