Carbazochrome is a hemostatic agent.1,2 In vivo, carbazochrome (0.1 mg/kg) reduces blood loss by 45% in a mouse model of traumatic hemorrhage.1 Topical administration of carbazochrome induces blood coagulation at back wound sites in mice.2
