Solubility
It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized TGF-b 3 in sterile 4mM HCl containing 0.1% endotoxin-free recombinant HSA.
Stability
Lyophilized TGF-b3 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C . Upon reconstitution TGF-b3 should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C .For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Biological Activity
The specific activity was determined by the dose-dependent inhibition of IL-4 induced proliferation of mouse HT-2 cells (BALB/c spleen activated by sheep erythrocytes in the presence of IL-2) and is typically 0.1-0.5ng/ml.
Formulation
The TGF-b3 was lyophilized from 1mg/ml in 1xPBS.
