TAMRA azide, 5- isomer is a fluorescent probe that contains an azide group, with the spectral characteristics (excitation 562/40nm, emission 624/40nm)[1]. TAMRA azide, 5-isomer is highly suitable for different click reactions or the Staudinger ligation, and reacting with alkyne, DBCO and BCN[2].
TAMRA azide was used as a fluorophore to label histone H3 and allowed efficient labeling of the modified substrate by CuAAC click chemistry[3]. TAMRA azide has been used for protein microarray immobilization to develop protein biosensors[2]. In HEK293T cells, TAMRA azide has been used in click chemistry to detect S-palmitoylation[4].
