Solubility
It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized TACI in sterile 18MΩ-cm H2O not less than 100µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Stability
Lyophilized TACI although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C . Upon reconstitution TACI should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C . For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).
Biological Activity
Fully biologically active when compared to standard. The biological activity is determined by its ability to block human BAFF induced T2B cell survival using a concentration range of 1.0-3.0 µg/mlcorresponding to a specific activity of 334-1000 IU/mg.
Formulation
TACI protein was lyophilized from a 0.2 µm filtered concentrated solution in PBS, pH 7.4.
