SPA Long Form is comprised of 5 IgG-binding domains E-D-A-B-C aligned in series containing 422 amino acids (including a.a 273-400 from acc# P99134) and having a molecular mass of 46.6kDa containing little or no carbohydrate.

Solubility
It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized SPA in sterile 18MΩ-cm H2O not less than 0.1mg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Stability
Lyophilized SPA although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C . Upon reconstitution SPA should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C . For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).

SPA protein was lyophilized with no additives.
