Sob-AM2 is a potent substrate targeting fatty acid amide drolase (FAAH) expressed in the brain (Km=1.3 μM), delivering high concentrations of Sobetirome to the central nervous system with minimal peripheral systemic dose, thereby stimulating central troid hormone receptor β (TRβ).
