PBD-150 is an inhibitor of glutaminyl cyclase (Ki = 0.49 ?M for the human enzyme).1 It inhibits the formation of the pyroglutamic acid-containing amyloid-β (Aβ) peptides pGlu-Aβ (3-40) and pGlu-Aβ (3-42) in HEK293 cells expressing human glutaminyl cyclase and human amyloid precursor protein (APP) with an N-terminal deletion of the first two amino acids.1
