Mevalonic acid 5-pyrophosphate (5-Diphosphomevalonic acid) tetralithium is an endogenous metabolite of the mevalonate pathway.

Mevalonate 5-pyrophosphate decarboxylase, which converts Mevalonic acid 5-pyrophosphate (Mevalonate 5-pyrophosphate) to isopentenyl pyrophosphate (IPP) in an ATP-dependent manner[1].
