Amino Acid Sequence
The sequence of the first six N-terminal amino acids was determined and was found to be Ala-Ile-Asp-Val-Asn-Ile.
Solubility
It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Leptin Receptor in sterile 18MΩ-cm H2O not less than 100µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Stability
Lyophilized Leptin Receptor although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C . Upon reconstitution Leptin Receptor should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C . For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Biological Activity
Biological Activity is evidenced by high affinity binding of mammalian leptins at 1:1 molar ratio.
Formulation
The protein was lyophilized from a concentrated (0.2-0.5mg/ml) solution of Tris-HCl buffer, pH 9.0 with 150 mM NaCl and 10-fold (w/w) excess of glycine.
