Lademirsen (SAR339375; RG-012) is a single stranded, chemically modified oligonucleotide that binds to and inhibits the function of miR-21. Lademirsen has the potential for Alport nephropathy research[1][2].
Administration of Lademirsen (SAR339375; RG-012) to inhibit miR-21 leads to a slowed progression of renal fibrosis and an increased lifespan in Alport syndrome mouse models[1].
