Hydrocortisone aceponate is a corticosteroid.1,2 Topical application of hydrocortisone aceponate (0.0584%) reduces lesion size and pruritis in cats with allergic dermatitis.1 It also induces remission and increases time to relapse in dogs with spontaneous atopic dermatitis.2 Formulations containing hydrocortisone aceponate have been used in the treatment of veterinary dermatoses.
