hMC1R agonist 1 is a peptide agonist of melanocortin receptor 1 (MC1R) and a derivative of melanotan-II .1 It selectively induces cAMP production in HEK293 cells expressing recombinant human MC1R over those expressing recombinant human MC3R, MC4R, or MC5R (EC50s = 3, 902, 915, and >1,000 nM, respectively).
