Solubility
It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Epidermal Growth Factor in sterile 18MΩ-cm H2O not less than 100µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.

Stability
Upon receiving, this product remains stable for 6 months at lower than -70°C. Upon reconstitution, the product should be stable for 1 week at 4°C or for 3 months at -20°C. For long term storage it is recommended that a carrier protein (example 0.1% BSA) be added. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Biological Activity
ED<sub>50</sub> &lt; 10.0 ng/ml, measured in a cell proliferation assay using 4MBr5 cells, corresponding to a specific activity of &gt; 1.0 × 10<sup>5</sup> U/mg.
