Rebaudioside E is one of the steviol glycosides of the diterpene derivative, which occurs naturally in the S. rebaudiana leaves [1]. Rebaudioside E is a high-intensity sweetener, which is used to reduce the contribution of sucrose and other high-energy sweeteners to excessive calorie intake [2]. Rebaudioside E has been widely used as a model compound for the direct study of the structure-sweetness relationship, and for the development of new non-calorie sweeteners[3]. Rebaudioside E has been widely used as an internal standard to optimize the conditions for high-performance liquid chromatography analysis in order to identify the related compounds[4].
