Enflurane, a volatile anaesthetic, is a potent inhibitor of high conductance Ca2+-activated K+ channels of Chara australis. Enflurane is an internal standard in monitoring halogenated volatile anaesthetics by headspace gas chromatography-mass spectrometry[1][2].
