C16 (2’(S)-hydroxy) Ceramide is the synthetic ceramide stereoisomer of N-(2’-(R)-hydroxypalmitoyl)-D-erythro-sphingosine. [1] C16 (2’(S)-hydroxy) Ceramide is the less active isomer, having no effect on C6 glioma cell viability at concentrations up to 20 µM.
