2-Methoxyhydroquinone is a phenolic compound. It reduces TNF-α-induced production of chemokine (C-C motif) ligand 2 (CCL2) in vitro with an IC50 value of 64.3 µM.1 2-Methoxyhydroquinone has been used as a precursor in the synthesis of the Hsp90 inhibitor geldanamycin .2
