1,2-Distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphorylethanolamine (1,2-DSPE) is a phosphoethanolamine (PE) lipid that can be used in the synthesis of liposomes [1]. Since amphiphilic nature, 1,2-Distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphorylethanolamine can interact hydrophobically through polyenic segments of Amphotericin B (AmB), which concomitantly prevents the aggregation[2]. Modification of the natural killer (NK) cell surface using 1,2-Distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphorylethanolamine imparts great stability and prolonged maintenance and accelerates the cell joining to form spheroids [3]. 1,2-Distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphorylethanolamine is widely used as a phospholipid probe for membrane insertion to develop bifunctional microfluidic platforms for efficient capture of extracellular vesicles (EVs)[4].
