1,2-Dioleyloxy-3-dimethylamino-propane (DODMA) is an environmentally ionized cationic lipid, exhibiting positive charge at low pH with moderate pKa value [1]. 1,2-Dioleyloxy-3-dimethylamino-propane is effective in encapsulating nucleic acids during synthesis by temporarily reducing pH, which can be used for the delivery of RNA[2]. 1,2-Dioleyloxy-3-dimethylamino-propane can be modified with 4-(bromomethyl) phenylboronic acid (PBA) or 3-fluoro-4-(bromomethyl) phenylboronic acid (FPBA) to obtain quaternary ammonium compounds, which can be used to construct glucose-responsive insulin delivery carriers[3]. 1,2-Dioleyloxy-3-dimethylamino-propane can be mixed with cholesterol in a 2:1 ratio to prepare the nanovesicle formulation, which is used to protect dsRNA from being degraded by nucleases and is easily absorbed by Botrytis cinerea [4].
