Verrucarin H is a macrocyclic trichothecene mycotoxin that has been found in M. verrucaria.[1] It is cytotoxic to H4TG hepatoma cancer cells, MDCK kidney cells, NIH3T3 fibroblasts, and KA31T fibroblasts (IC50s = 10.8, 3.98, 9.84, and 8.64 nM, respectively). It inhibits the growth of duckweed plantlets (IC50 = 9.7 µM).
