Talaromycesone A is a fungal metabolite originally isolated from Talaromyces.¹ It is active against S. epidermidis and methicillin-resistant S. aureus (MRSA) bacteria (IC₅₀s = 3.70 and 5.48 µM, respectively). Talaromycesone A inhibits acetylcholinesterase (AChE) in a cell-free assay (IC₅₀ = 7.49 µM for the human enzyme).
