Sorbitol dedrogenase-IN-1 is a potent and orally active sorbitol dedrogenase inhibitor with IC50 s of 4, 5 nM for rat and human, respectively.
Sorbitol dedrogenase-IN-1 (compound 16) (50 µg/kg; p.o.) shows sustained inhibition of sciatic nerve fructose in chronically diabetic rats[1].
