Somatorelin (1-44) amide is a synthetic peptide that corresponds to the full 44-amino acid sequence of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH), a hormone that stimulates the production of growth hormone from the pituitary gland and is involved in the regulation of cell proliferation and differentiation.1,2 Somatorelin induces growth hormone release similarly to GHRH in vitro and in vivo.1
