Secretin, porcine is a 27-amino acid peptide, acting on pancreatic acinar cells and ductal epithelial cells stimulating the production of bicarbonate rich fluid. Secretin, porcine is equivalent to the synthetic porcine and human forms of secretin, and they can be used interchangeably in pancreatic function testing[1].
