Progranulin modulator-3 (compd C40) is a brain-penetrant and orally active progranulin (PGRN) inducer. Progranulin modulator-3 can be used for neurological research.
Progranulin modulator-3 (1-30 μM, 48 h) induces PGRN protein production does-dependently in N2A cells[1].
Progranulin modulator-3 (10 mg/kg, i.p., 24h) shows a half life of 41 min and Cmaxs of 1498 ng/mL and 6246 ng/g in mice plasma and brain, respectively, and increases PGRN protein levels in Grn+/− mouse brains[1].
