Pranoprofen-13C-d3 is intended for use as an internal standard for the quantification of pranoprofen by GC- or LC-MS. Pranoprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) and COX-1 inhibitor (IC50 = 3.1 µM).1,2 It decreases B. pertussis-induced production of prostaglandin E2 in isolated rat peritoneal leukocytes (IC50 = 0.39 µM).2 Ocular application of pranoprofen reduces corneal epithelial damage in a mouse model of corneal alkali burns.1
