Palmitoyl alkyne-coenzyme A (palmitoyl alkyne-CoA) is a thioester of ω-alkynylated palmitic acid and CoA . It has been used as a chemical reporter to label palmitoylated proteins via click chemistry using various probes, including biotin-azide or 3-azido-7-hydroxycoumarin, in vitro and in vivo.1
