Oleoyl-L-carnitine-d3 is intended for use as an internal standard for the quantification of oleoyl-L-carnitine by GC- or LC-MS. Oleoyl-L-carnitine is a naturally occurring long-chain acylcarnitine.1 It inhibits lecithin:cholesterol acyltransferase (LCAT) activity in isolated rat, but not human, plasma by 32% when used at a concentration of 500 µM.
