N-Demethylvancomycin is a glycopeptide antibiotic that has been found in Nocardia orientalis.1 It is active against several strains of S. aureus and S. epidermidis in vitro and in vivo.2 Formulations containing N-demethylvancomycin have been used in the treatment of bacterial infections.
