Metsulfuron-methyl is a systemic sulfonylurea herbicide and has been widely used to control broad-leaved weeds and annual grasses in rice, maize, wheat, and barley. Metsulfuron-methyl has highly efficient herbicidal activity and low mammalian toxicity[1].
