MCI-INI-3 is an inhibitor of aldehyde dehydrogenase 1A3 (ALDH1A3; Ki = 0.55 ?M).1 It is selective for ALDH1A3 over ALDH1A1 (Ki = 78.2 ?M). MCI-INI-3 (15 ?M) inhibits the conversion of retinol to retinaldehyde in U87MG glioblastoma cells. It reduces the viability of GSC-83 and GSC-326 glioblastoma cells when used at a concentration of 15 ?M.
