Isolariciresinol is a lignan that has been found in Cornus officinalis and has diverse biological activities.1,2 It scavenges ABTS radicals in a cell-free assay (IC50 = 19.4 µM) and inhibits LPS-induced nitric oxide (NO) production in RAW 264.7 macrophages (IC50 = 84.45 µM).1 Isolariciresinol (20 µM) inhibits amyloid-β (1-42) self-aggregation in a cell-free assay.2
