Inflammasome inhibitor 4b is an inhibitor of NOD-like receptor protein 3 (NLRP3) inflammasome activation.1 It inhibits ATP-induced IL-1β release by 98.3% in LPS-primed mouse bone marrow-derived macrophages (BMDMs) when used at a concentration of 1 µM. Inflammasome inhibitor 4b (3 and 10 mg/kg) decreases paw swelling and mechanical hyperalgesia in a mouse model of gout induced by monosodium urate crystals.
