Human IgG1 kappa, Isotype Control, a humanized monoclonal antibody, is an isotype control for human IgG1κ antibody. Human IgG1 kappa, Isotype Control has similar structures and biological characteristics to human immunoglobulin G1 (IgG1), but lacks the ability to bind specific antigens. Human IgG1 kappa, Isotype Control (10μg/ml; 2-6h) did not affect NK cell-mediated cytotoxicity against Castration-Resistant Prostate Cancer (CRPC) cells or normal prostate epithelial cells. Human IgG1 kappa, Isotype Control (10mg/kg; i.p.; once every 4 days for a total of 4 doses) did not affect the survival of C4-2 or 22Rv1 xenograft mice and showed no antitumor activity. Therefore, Human IgG1 kappa, Isotype Control are often used as negative controls in experiments to rule out false positives[1][2].
