UAA crosslinker 1 hydrochloride is an amber codon used for non-canonical amino acids (ncAAs) incorporation. The ncAAs can be incorporated into proteins in vivo by making use of the promiscuous activity of certain wildtype and engineered aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases[1].
