Adrenomedullin (11-50) is a truncated form of rat adrenomedullin.1,2 Intravenous administration of adrenomedullin (11-50) (3-10 μg/animal) decreases mean systemic arterial pressure in rats in a dose-dependent manner without affecting cardiac output.1 Cerebroventricular injection of adrenomedullin (11-50) (88 pmol) reduces water intake in response to angiotensin II , overnight water deprivation, and hyperosmotic challenge in rats.2
