Florbetapir is usually used as a reference standard to characterize florbetapir F-18 [1]. Florbetapir F-18 is a β-amyloid (Aβ) plaque-specific tracer for in vivo positron emission tomography (PET) imaging as a marker of Alzheimer’s disease (AD). Florbetapir F-18 has high Aβ binding affinity and can cross the blood-brain barrier [2-3].
