Dodecyltrimethylammonium is a cationic surfactant.1 It has a critical micelle concentration (CMC) of 15.7 and 8.1 mM in water and PBS, pH 7.4, respectively, and binds to DNA. Dodecyltrimethylammonium is active against L. monocytogenes (MIC = 120 mg/L).2
