DBCO-PEG4-Biotin, also known as dibenzocyclooctyne polyethylene glycol biotin, is a versatile bioconjugation reagent[1]. DBCO can undergo a specific reaction with molecules containing azide groups to form stable covalent bonds through copper-free strain-promoted alkyne-azide cycloaddition (SPAAC)[2]. Therefore, DBCO-PEG4-Biotin can introduce biotin labeling into biomolecules via DBCO-PEG4-Biotin’s DBCO functional group.
