AMP-PNP lithium drate is a non-drolyzable analog of ATP. AMP-PNP can replace ATP for biological research and is not drolyzed by intracellular enzymes. In the study of BtuCD-F, a vitamin B12 transporter, it was found that AMP-PNP can block the channel formed by the two BtuCDs of the BtuCD-F complex, thereby preventing the entry of vitamin B12[1].
