Actinobolin is a microbial metabolite that has been found in Pseudomonas and has antibiotic and anticancer activities.1 It is active against E. coli (MIC = 170 ?M). Actinobolin decreases protein synthesis in E. coli (IC50 = 30 ?M). It inhibits the proliferation of adenocarcinoma 755 cells (IC50 = 70 ?M).2
